Jesus said: “Go and make disciples of all nations…” (Matthew 28:19).
Our heart in this ministry is to see an authentic, vibrant expression of the Word of Truth transforming people’s hearts and minds, setting them free and forming them more and more into the image of Messiah Jesus. This is done through discipleship, which was modeled for us by Jesus Himself in his earthly ministry. The twelve were discipled by being with Jesus, observing Him, learning from Him, and eventually doing what He was doing, as they were sent out to minister on their own.
Similarly, discipling is an integral part of everything we do, from Sunday services to home assemblies, to outreach and through courses taught in the Shepherd school of ministry. Some or much of the learning of the ways of a disciple happens through personal relationships, personal ministry and various teaching settings by which believers develop/mature to be better representatives of Christ. Jesus said “everyone who is fully trained will be like his teacher” (Luke 6:40). We are all students of the Master, learning His ways, and becoming more and more like Him as we seek to bring a full expression of the Gospel to this generation.
