G.O. Groups

The term G.O. Group expresses the idea that our home fellowships have an emphasis on “growth” and “outreach.” The concept was birthed out of our senior pastor’s heart for the unchurched members of society and the need for scriptural discipleship. GO groups are home assemblies where believers can gather in a casual atmosphere for fellowship, teaching, training, prayer and equipping of the believers so that they, in turn, can have an impact on the community and world around them.

Some Christians are just listening to a minister’s sermon once a week. But the Father didn’t expect the Christian faith to be a spectator sport (John 14:12). He called us all to be active participants in His kingdom, and commanded us to “go” and to make disciples of all nations (Matt.28:19). Home assemblies provide a perfect training ground to equip the next generation of saints who believe it is possible to change the world for Messiah and His glory!

These home assemblies are designed after the first century church where the saints met in homes to express and experience the fullness of Jesus’ work in them (Acts 2:42-47). We believe that every believer is a priest both to God and to the believers, as well as an ambassador of Christ to the lost (I Peter 2:5&9). The GO groups give members the opportunity to develop and exercise their gifts and callings as servant leaders one to another as well as to the unchurched.
